The Aim of Scouting is to contribute to the non-formative education of our students, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society. This is achieved by:
  • Involving cub scouts in various activities that hone their leadership, team spirit, adaptability and other qualities that are essential for an uncertain and volatile society.
  • using a non-formative method to encourage individuals to be their own agents of development -  as a self-reliant, supportive, responsible and committed person assisting based on a value system as expressed in the Scouts Promise and Law

Our cub scouts membership is open to all Pri.3 to Pri.6 pupils who enjoys outdoor activities and learning skills that are out of the classroom context such as first aid, outdoor cooking, knot tying, abseiling, etc. They would learn various skills through the attainment of proficiency badges.

Moulding worldly scouts is one of our focus as we hope to expose our cub scouts to as many events as much as possible. Hence, we have participated in various exhibitions such as the Dinosaur: Dawn of Extinction and Mummies: Secrets of the tomb exhibition held at the Art Science Museum. We have also taken part in the annual International Storytelling festival where the cub scouts attended a Shadow Puppet making workshop.

Also, our cub scouts actively participated in all local and international scouting events such as district camps, gangshows and campfires. A video of the exciting New Zealand Camporee 2012 could be found below:

Apart from learning skills, we also hope to push our cub scouts to rise up within the scouting ranks through the attainment of the bronze, silver, and gold arrows and finally the Akela Award. Therefore, we are proud to announce that we had 6 Akela Award winners in 2013. We had also attained a Silver for the Frank Cooper Sands Award 2013.
