On April 13 2017, our Tamil Language department organised the Mother Tongue Language Festival to commemorate the Tamil Month of Chithirai. Our theme for this year is,
“Talk in Tamil; Love Tamil”.
Our school has been organising Tamil language and culture related activities for our students since 2010. Our students learn to appreciate the rich culture and component of the Tamil language through these activities. Competitions related to Tamil were organised and finalists were chosen to showcase their talent during the Mother Tongue language Festival.
This year, the TL department invited our P1 and P2 parents to join us to show support for our finalists on 13th April 2017. The competition was a huge success. Our students and parents appreciated the hard work that the department had put in to organise this event.
Our school Vice Principal, Mr Chng graced this occasion and addressed the audience. Our school teachers, Mr Viknesh, Mr Nela, Mdm Vanessa and Mdm Puvan also agreed to be judges for the competitions.
The TL department would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who contributed to the success of this event.
