INDIAN DANCE

Overview :

The Indian Dance CCA aims to instill in pupils a love and appreciation for the aesthetics. Pupils will enrich their understanding in traditional Indian dance through the learning of fundamental movements in the Indian dance. They will also be introduced to traditional and contemporary dances. Pupils learn to work in a team and gain self-confidence. They will also gain experiences through competitions and various performances. Non-Indian boys and girls are encouraged to join to appreciate this art form.

Description

The Indian Dance CCA in Woodlands Ring Primary School aims to develop an appreciation for various genres of the Indian dance in our pupils.

Our dancers undergo intensive training in the techniques of classical Indian dance including learning intricate footwork and hand gestures.

 It is also a platform for pupils to demonstrate teamwork and the school core values.
